Disneyland Christmas Trip Report
We visited Disneyland Resort in December to enjoy the Christmas season, when both Disney California and Disneyland get a little merrier. This report features photos of both parks decked out for the holidays (including Cars Land Christmas photos!), plus commentary and photos of Haunted Mansion Holiday, ‘it’s a small world’ holiday, World of Color – Winter Dreams, Believe… In Holiday Magic Fireworks, Viva Navidad!, Jingle Cruise, Candlelight Processional (narrated by Kurt Russell), and more!
Although it was only a quick, weekend trip, we covered a lot of ground and ate at a variety of restaurants, including Cafe Orleans, Big Thunder BBQ, Plaza Inn, and Paradise Garden Grill. You can expect photos from these restaurants (and of other Christmas snacks we ate along the way), plus a variety of random stuff.
If you’re heading to Disneyland Resort for the holidays, this trip report should help you plan your trip. If you’re not visiting, it should give you a nice taste of the holidays.

I plan to go Christmas 2014. will i be caught in wet rainy days ?
Hello!! Im hoping you can give me a little insight here on when they actually get all the Christmas decor fully set up. We are planning a trip for the first week in December 2014 but I REALLY want to make sure all the decor is up!! Thanks for your time and any help you can give!
Pretty sure all x-mas decor is up by the first of December. I have a friend who used to work for Disneyland and said that right after Thanksgiving the Disneyland cast members finish one area per night and stay until it is done. Actually, to recall I might even think it may be done before Thanksgiving, but definatly before first week of December.
Our family went the week before Thanksgiving on November 17, 2013. All the Christmas decor was up and the crowds were very low. 🙂
Hi Tamara and anyone else that can help. So everything even the castle and It’s A Small World were Christmas themed? How about the firework show and World of Color? I might be going Nov. 13th or Nov 20th and really would like to be there in full holiday swing. Thanks
